Other Items Discussed
Sardar Fair Recap: The Scribe Tent was highly successful. Special thanks and applause were given to Kar for organizing and keeping the schedule running smoothly.
Meeting Frequency: The group discussed whether to reduce meeting frequency but ultimately agreed that the current schedule (twice a month on alternate Wednesdays) works well to keep everyone connected.
City Festivals: Eva announced that Var-Kor is hosting a week-long event starting on the 19th called the "Festival Of Awakening Fires."
Library Resources: Multiple cities invited scribes to utilize their libraries. Eva is building the Var-Kor archives, Armand offered access to Lara's extensive notecard library, and Jessika praised Teletus's new archivist, Lady Elysa, for revamping their collection of second knowledge.
Smaller Scribe Events: Trygg suggested hosting trivia contests or academic challenges between cities. The group was receptive, and the topic will be explored further.
Decisions Made
Scribe Summit Dates: The group reached a unanimous consensus to host a three-day Scribe Summit near the Se'Kara harvest festival. The dates are officially set for September 25th through September 27th.
Meeting Schedule: The group decided to maintain the current meeting schedule rather than reducing it to once a month.

In the meantime, I'm hoping that you will all want to continue with the involvement of the group in promoting Scribe work in Gor.

[08:19] Jessika Roberts stands and speaks gently ."I am also of the city of Teletus. I am Jessika Roberts, and I serve my city in a variety of roles. I serve as a magistrate for the city, and have gotten involved in an interesting case lately involving a man who allegedly kidnapped our Ubara. I was recently appointed to be the assistant Head of Caste for Teletus, and I had to hit the ground running because of duties associated with that role. What keeps me busiest, however, is my role as newspaper reporter for the city, which results in me interviewing people almost every day and writing editions that come out every other week. Four editions of the newspaper have come out so far, and I brought copies in case anybody would like to read them. Honestly, I'm proud of them, and of being able to help my city as much as I can."

In addition, I am also a Merchant Magistrate after completing many months of courses and many tests from my former Instructor, Abraham, in the spring of last year. I received my Merchant Law certifications. Later on that year I opened my private Merchant Law Firm.
Well, since I am introducing myself, I might as well tell everyone about the 50% discount on all purchases from my store before and during the war that Teletus has found itself a part of. [08:46] Jessika Roberts: The scribe tent at the fair was amazing this year. I found topics of fascinating interest being presented every day it seemed. To everybody who gave a lecture, you have my gratitude.

>> [08:46] Trygg Tyran: "Moving on.. The next topic I want to put before the group is the subject of the SCoG* group meeting schedules. Currently, the group gets together for meetings twice a month, on alternate Wednesdays. Generally the meeting at 8 am SL time has a healthy attendance, and the 5 pm meeting attendance is more sparse. I would like your opinion on the meeting schedule for the group.
[08:47] Trygg Tyran: Should be we having fewer meetings, say, and I am just talking here, not advocating... maybe one meeting a month, or should we continue with the current schedule? There are advantages to both. If we are going to continue twice-monthly meetings, would it be a good idea to plan a discussion topic during those times? Opinions?"

[08:49] Armand deFleur looks over to Trygg as he says, "I suppose it would depend upon attendance to the meetings. I do think that twice on a day would be helpful for those of differing times. But two days a month, you may not get too many updates."

[08:50] Myriam-alyah Spires: I believe the two days a month is set up purely in the run up to events and it makes sense when so much can change so fast especially when coming up to the next big event.
[08:51] Kati Evans: I prefer twice on the day, which give me an option in my daily schedule, and twice a month, which give a bit more time to hear what everyone is doing and stay a bit more connected.
[08:52] ꝀȺɌ: I am in favor of meeting twice on a scheduled day, with additional sessions as needed.... such as during En’Kara or Summit events.
[08:52] Jessika Roberts: I agree with Myriam. Twice a month seems like a good idea when it's needed, such as before En'Kara or before the annual scribal conference ... but it's not needed every month. The importance is that, if possible, the dates be announced ahead of time. I prefer the 8 AM meeting, but I have to get up a little early for it, and I have to set my alarm clock.
[08:52] Aneesh Teardrop: meeting twice a month is good, it is us as the blue caste that are of the law and Tal Lady Skylar.

[08:53] Myriam-alyah Spires: It can be a long time between events of different cities and this gives us an opportunity to share not just what we do but whats going on around us in relation to other things and if we need some guidance.

[08:55] Trygg Tyran nods "It seems that there is a sentiment, though not a strong one, one way or the other, for keeping the schedule as is. I am certainly fine with that."

Scribe Summit:
[08:56] Trygg Tyran: Let's move on the the topic of the Scribe Summit. For the past two years we have held a Scribe Summit in September, around but not on the Se'Kara harvest festivals throughout Gor. The nice thing about having it in September, or six months after En'Kara, is that the timing allows us to recover from the En'Kara Sardar Fair, which, if you have attended one, or presented at one, or worked one, you know it can be - a lot."
[08:56] Eva Bloodwell-Keel hurridly spouts : "Speaaking of events the 19th Var-Kor is having a week Long festival. Var-Kor: Festival Of Awakening Fires"
[08:57] Trygg Tyran: That sounds marvelous Eva. Feel free to publicize the event in the SCoG* group, and if you have merchants in the GMA, they can use that.
[08:57] Trygg Tyran: The timing between the events allows for us to get a second wind between the two major events. So I would pose two questions to the group. Do you want to have a Scribe Summit this year, and if so, would you like to pick a date for it today?"
[08:58] Armand deFleur nods to Trygg, "I think that Scribe Summit was exceptionally done, with lessons, debates and discussions. If it can be done, I think that all scribes would benefit from it."
[08:59] Myriam-alyah Spires: For me the idea was to have this at the half way point of the year which would make it the Autumn Equinox in or around the 22 September. I was surprised last year it moved into October but it should be somewhere around there.
[09:00] Trygg Tyran nods at Armand and Myriam. "I agree. Near Se'Kara is about the right time to do it."
[09:00] Jessika Roberts: I think having a Scribal Summit is a truly excellent idea, as the one held last year was wonderful. Having it six months from En'Kara, thereby splitting the year into two equal portions, would I think be best.

[09:03] Aneesh Teardrop: I am all for any event that we all can meet and learn and grow together is a wonderful idea. It's also a way for us to show who we are and what we do. I have learned from the one's I know here so yes sounds like September is good.
[09:04] Myriam-alyah Spires: We did the 26th-28th and it was back to back last year in the end, so if we did the same time be the Fri 25th - Sunday 27th.
[09:05] Aldae Nagy: Month of Se'Kra is the second Turning. The month starts on the 17th of September and ends on the 16th of October. A summit 6 months after the fair would make sense

I serve as a magistrate for the city, and have gotten involved in an interesting case lately involving a man who allegedly kidnapped our Ubara. I was recently appointed to be the assistant Head of Caste for Teletus, and I had to hit the ground running because of duties associated with that role. What keeps me busiest, however, is my role as newspaper reporter for the city, which results in me interviewing people almost every day and writing editions that come out every other week. Four editions of the newspaper have come out so far, and I brought copies in case anybody would like to read them. Honestly, I'm proud of them, and of being able to help my city as much as I can."

Currently, the group gets together for meetings twice a month, on alternate Wednesdays. Generally the meeting at 8 am SL time has a healthy attendance, and the 5 pm meeting attendance is more sparse. I would like your opinion on the meeting schedule for the group.

There are advantages to both. If we are going to continue twice-monthly meetings, would it be a good idea to plan a discussion topic during those times? Opinions?"

Twice a month seems like a good idea when it's needed, such as before En'Kara or before the annual scribal conference ... but it's not needed every month. The importance is that, if possible, the dates be announced ahead of time. I prefer the 8 AM meeting, but I have to get up a little early for it, and I have to set my alarm clock.

For the past two years we have held a Scribe Summit in September, around but not on the Se'Kara harvest festivals throughout Gor. The nice thing about having it in September, or six months after En'Kara, is that the timing allows us to recover from the En'Kara Sardar Fair, which, if you have attended one, or presented at one, or worked one, you know it can be - a lot."
