1. Sardar Fair (En’Kara 2026) Schedule

The "Road to the Fair" begins March 9, with the official opening on Friday, March 13. The fair concludes Sunday, March 22.

• Scribe Caste Day: Tuesday, March 17.

• Other Caste Days: Merchant (16th), Physician (18th), Builder (19th), and Warrior (20th).

2. Event Coordination & Guidelines

Trygg and Kar are representing Scribes on the Ubar's Council.

• Submission Deadline: Target date for SCoG* internal submission is Sunday, February 8 (to meet the final fair deadline of Feb 14).

• Overlap Policy: Tents must coordinate to ensure major events do not conflict and similar audiences are not split.

• Joint Presentations: Suggestions were made for cross-caste sessions, such as Merchant/Initiate Law or an Autopsy session with Physicians.

3. Proposed Activities & Ideas

• Ambassador Meet & Greet: Proposed by Hendrix.

• Lighthearted Programming: Lady Kiki suggested moving away from "stuffy bookworm" stereotypes to include humor and perhaps chocolates.

• Scribes of Merit: A tribute segment featuring quotes from notable past Scribes.

• Scribe Conference: Hendrix is planning a regular Scribe conference (potentially starting in February) to increase sim traffic and interaction.

• Rumor Mill: Madeleine Skall inquired about the "Games of Love and War"; Trygg will investigate if this is on the Warrior Caste agenda.

SCoG* Meeting Transcripts January 21

Attached are the meeting transcripts from the 8 am and 5 pm SCoG* meetings last Wednesday, the 21st. Both meetings focused on the upcoming Sardar Fair and the Scribe Caste Day on March 17th. I will be sending out a spreadsheet for the scribes so that you can monitor the events as they go on the official calendar. So far, Scribes have submitted 5 events. When they are put on the official calendar I will send a new version of the schedule out. We are urged to fill up Scribe day, but can also (MORE) 

schedule events for other days, as long as they don't conflict with a big event elsewhere at the fair. I will be putting out a new notice to SCoG* and Blue Caste of Gor to post the schedules and other guidelines. Please step up and volunteer your time and expertise to present a topic. More to come.

Let's jump right into the matter of most pressing importance, that being the development of a program for the Scribe tent at the upcoming Sardar fair. Kar and I will be issuing and open call for presenters for sessions at the tent. 

Please step up and volunteer your time and service. This is the only time of year that all inhabitants of all regions can come together for an exchange of ideas, and we want to make the most of it."

[08:30] Trygg Tyran: "At this time, the pilgrimage to the Sardar, or the Road to the Fair, will begin on Monday March 9 and conclude on Friday March 13, which is the opening date of the fair."

[08:32] Trygg Tyran: The Fair itself will run from Friday, March 13 through Sunday March 22.

[08:33] Trygg Tyran: The schedule has not yet been developed, as the organizers are working with the builders to build the various camp sites and other things.

[08:36] Trygg Tyran: "The Ubar's Council will be using the document I just gave you to prepare a master schedule for the fair. That will be released as soon as it is available.

[08:38] Trygg Tyran: "As usual, the fair has designated various days as Caste Days, which are the days in which the Caste tents will be humming with activity"

Monday March 16th -- Merchant Day

Tuesday March 17th -- Scribe Day

Wednesday March 18th -- Physician Day

Thursday March 19th -- Builder Day

Friday March 20th -- Warrior Day

Keep in mind that we are not limited to activity on March 17, but that might be the day to roll out the special events, if we develop them.

If there are additional groups or channels that should receive this information, please let us know. If you are not already members of the *En'Kara Fair group, please join it, and also look for information on the discord channel."

[08:48] Trygg Tyran: The committee has outlined expectations to ensure smooth coordination between caste tents and to avoid unnecessary competition. The key points are as follows:

•     Each caste tent may run its own programming; however, tents are expected to remain aware of activities happening in other caste tents.

[08:48] Trygg Tyran: •     Organizers prefer that caste‑run events do not overlap when they appeal to similar audiences. The goal is to prevent competing activities that divide attendance.

[08:49] Trygg Tyran: •     Major events should not be scheduled at the same time. This allows visitors to move freely between tents and enjoy a variety of offerings throughout the fair.

[08:49] Trygg Tyran: •     Caste tents are encouraged to share their planned event times with the organizers—and with one another—to help minimize scheduling conflicts.

[08:50] Trygg Tyran: •     We are encouraged to fully program our tent on Scribe Day, which falls on Tuesday, March 17th. We may schedule as many presentations and activities as we wish for that day..

[08:50] Trygg Tyran: •     Still, we would like to have a few presenters and topics “in our back pocket” in case other castes leave portions of their time unused.

[08:51] Trygg Tyran: I was also thinking that we could offer some presentations with other castes. Such as a merchant law presentation with the Merchant Caste, to be held in either tent, and a presentation on Initiate law, since scribes should be aware of that process."

[08:58] Myriam-alyah Spires: Also, you should probably know i only asked for people to confirm the event and when and a little about it, and i completed the forms all myself and handed them in by the deadline so that there was a minimal amount of information flowing from one place.

[17:47:07] Trygg Tyran (tryggtyran): The committee has outlined expectations to ensure smooth coordination between caste tents and to avoid unnecessary competition. The key points are as follows:

•     Each caste tent may run its own programming; however, tents are expected to remain aware of activities happening in other caste tents.

•     Organizers prefer that caste‑run events do not overlap when they appeal to similar audiences. The goal is to prevent competing activities that divide attendance.

[17:47:51] Trygg Tyran (tryggtyran): •     Major events should not be scheduled at the same time. This allows visitors to move freely between tents and enjoy a variety of offerings throughout the fair.

•     Caste tents are encouraged to share their planned event times with the organizers—and with one another—to help minimize scheduling conflicts.

[17:48:12] Trygg Tyran (tryggtyran): •     We are encouraged to fully program our tent on Scribe Day, which falls on Tuesday, March 17th. We may schedule as many presentations and activities as we wish for that day..

[17:48:27] Trygg Tyran (tryggtyran): •     Still, we would like to have a few presenters and topics “in our back pocket” in case other castes leave portions of their time unused.

[17:48:51] Trygg Tyran (tryggtyran): I was also thinking that we could offer some presentations with other castes. Such as a merchant law presentation with the Merchant Caste, to be held in either tent, and a presentation on Initiate law, since scribes should be aware of that process."

1. submit your Event hosting forms to Kar or me by February 8. We will consolidate them and send them to the committee to be added to the schedule.

[17:50:24] Trygg Tyran (tryggtyran): 2. If your city hasn't done so yet, submit the En'Kara Space Reservation form to the fair office to reserve your tents. The builders have an interesting idea for campsites this year, so submit the forms.

I am still working out the details on the who what where when why of it with my sim leadership but a scribe conference similar to the physician on that was just held. As you know sl gor is a fickle place and people go to dots. I want to establish a semi regular conference that is hosted by a revolving schedule of sims for scribes to get together. It will be fully handled and presented icly once I get things hammered out with my sim leadership.
