In Ancient Greek and Roman societies, there are many early examples of purple being associated with justice and the legal system. Roman magistrates would wear specifically demarcated purple-striped togas to denote their prominence and authority. Scribes are always described as wearing blue. With one exception, The Magistrates. They wore togas that were white the color of impartiality in Gor  white  and with purple stripes the color of Justice. The Merchant Magistrates added Gold to show they dealt with merchant law.

1. Meeting Logistics & Attendance:

   • Abraham initiated the meeting, noting the importance of starting due to people moving around at the "end of the summer."

   • Leya confirmed her first attendance and mentioned her location is the Oasis of Lame Kaiila in the Tahari.

2. Future Meeting Location (Next Month):

3. New City Developments:

   • Hermes is building a new city in the Tahari, which is not yet finished but well-done.

   • Odette announced a new Isle of Telekus is being set up, with the region delivered yesterday.

   • Abraham requested a teleport (TP) to the new city/Isle from Odette, and Kati also requested one. KAR asked for the Sim Rules when available.

   • Abraham expressed interest in helping set up new cities, having done so three times before.

   • Bea clarified that Genesian Port was rebuilt after a "Kur invasion" about a month and a half ago.

   • Abraham offered a list of 146 cities, updated weekly.

4. Scribe Summit Planning (Main Topic):

   • Lectures/Debates:

     • Trygg suggested moving Abraham's ambassador and alliance lectures to avoid conflict with opening ceremonies. Abraham agreed to move them to a later time.

     • Victoria F classes are now listed.

     • Need at least two more applicants for the debate (total of four needed) for a 5000L prize. Abraham will resend the application.

   • Location: The Summit will take place in Hermes' city, "Isfahan" (spelled by Trygg).

   • Promotion: Trygg suggested creating a revised poster (as the current one misspells "Isfahan"), sending it to group members, and asking them to post it in their libraries. Trygg shared a copy of the "Scribe Caste Summitv2" poster (with the known misspelling). Odette and KAR also requested copies.  

   • Preparation: Trygg proposed that before the next meeting, they should create a list of needs (lecturers, debate participants, etc.) and a preliminary final schedule, sending regular notices in September to urge attendance. Abraham agreed.

5. Future Meeting Schedule (Post-Summit):

   • Trygg suggested meeting on September 3, September 17, and an extra meeting on September 24.

   • The September 24 meeting could be cancelled if everything is done by the 17th, but it's good to keep it as a backup.

6. Scribe Caste Codes/Code of Ethics:

   • Trygg asked if the scribe caste codes had been voted on. Abraham acknowledged he forgot and asked Trygg to bring it up at the next meeting.

   • Abraham said the "current version" of the codes, stating they've been revised every seven years.

   • Odette questioned the terminology, suggesting they seem more like "attributes" or a "code of ethics" rather than "codes" as seen in warrior castes.

   • Abraham clarified that these are their ethical teachings and beliefs, noting they've been called "codes" and taught as such for 16 years at the campus.

   • KAR expressed that not all scribes agreed to them as "codes" and that some saw them as ethics.

   • Consensus was reached to change the title to "Code of Ethics" to better reflect the content and terminology.

   • Discussion about consequences for not following the codes (impartiality, honesty) was briefly touched upon, with the general agreement that it would be a matter for their city caste, as enforcement is difficult.
