1. Meeting Schedule & Hosting

• Due to the unexpected closure of Port Cos, the bi-weekly hosting rotation was disrupted.

• Kira Edmonds agreed to host both July meetings (July 8 and July 22) in Lara to re-establish a consistent, one-month-per-city schedule and minimize confusion during the low-attendance summer season.

2. 3rd Scribe Summit Planning (Sept 25–27)

• Group Administration: Abraham confirmed that Trygg and Myriam have been added to the official Scribe Summit group with full admin rights to distribute notices.

• Presentation Topics:

  • Myriam presented a preliminary topic chart and noted she will give a practical demonstration on utilizing AI to streamline scribe work while keeping it tightly aligned with book lore.

  • Kira proposed a lecture on the progression of the hierarchy, focusing on the issue of new students wanting to instantly claim the rank of Magistrate without prior training. The tentative title concepts include plays on words like "Zero to Ubar: Hierarchy of Scribes."

• Speakers & Guests:

  • Sir Lionhard is confirmed to present a topic and is being considered as a potential keynote speaker.

  • Sir Fagoban declined an invitation to speak due to past debate confusion, though he may still attend out of personal interest.

  • Myriam plans to connect with Lady Jessika to encourage broader presentation engagement from the scribes of Teletus.

• Caste Codes: Abraham raised a query regarding whether Lady Busybee is utilizing the revised caste codes (Caste Codes of the Scribes Rev 2). Myriam will verify this with her.

3. Summit Promotion

• Trygg distributed promotional posters for the 3rd Scribe Summit to the attendees to display within their respective home cities.

[07:42:14] Trygg Tyran (tryggtyran): Thank you. Generally we have one city host two meetings in one month, but the unexpected closure of Port Cos left us with an odd number of meetings. I think people are less confused when we have two meetings in one city during the same month.

[07:43:25] Trygg Tyran (tryggtyran): The only disadvantage is that it is summer, and so I would assume that many are on vacation.

 

[07:44:13] Kira Edmonds (kira.avonside): Yes, that is one thing with summer a lot are goine on vacations or out in the sun.

 

[07:47:17] Trygg Tyran (tryggtyran): Yes. Personally, I would limit the meetings to one per month, but the group voted to continue twice a month, so I will go with the conscience of the group.

We will meet here in Lara for the next two meetings, through earth July, which will put us back on the schedule of  one month at each hosting location, a sequence that was broken due to the tragic closure of Port Cos."

I had request Sir Fagoban of 'the gorean cave' but he declined to attend after what he considered was embarassing confusion around last year's debate and he may attend but only from interest. I am happy to contact anyone else of note if you can think of someone.

There are many who are able to do their topics of interest, or have a curiousness about an area for the personal development and 'scribes should speak on a topic as part of being 'scribes'. *nods* I was so happy she volunteered as a HoC
