1. Caste Progress & Status Updates (Abraham's Challenge: "What have you done to further the caste?"):

   • Abraham Jacobson: Announced he was voted in as HoC for Teletus and is on a hiring spree. He secured Imperial Ar as the location for the next monthly meeting.

   • Bea Lael (Besnit): Announced plans to establish her merchant law firm in Besnit before the end of next month. She is looking for a merchant magistrate.

2. Scribe Codes and Debates:

   • Caste Codes: The modified Scribe Caste Codes (or Ethics) Rev 2 were finalized based on summit suggestions and distributed by Shannondoa during the meeting.

   • Merchant Magistrate Debate: A debate hosted by Cor in Selnar on Friday at 6 PM was announced. The topic is: "The advancement of civilisation owes more to the enterprise of Merchants than to the scholarship of Scribes." Abraham expressed hope to attend and lament that Cor does not collaborate with SCoG.

3. Future Planning (En'Kara & Meetings):

   • En'Kara Fair: The status of En'Kara sponsorship is "up in the air" due to the coordinator (Feather) being sick. Trygg volunteered to ask Violet (and possibly Turmus, a co-sponsor last year) about sponsoring the sim/location. Abraham suggested the SCoG might need to organize its own event if no external sponsor is found.

   • New Recruits: Abraham announced that by the end of next month, three more Ambassadors and three more Magistrates would graduate from training.

   • Next Meeting: The next meeting is confirmed for November 5th at Imperial Ar. There will be no meeting on the last Wednesday of October due to a major holiday.

That feast has been rescheduled.

The meeting served as a post-mortem analysis of the recent Scribe Summit and planning for future SCoG activities, emphasizing recruitment and standardization.

1. Scribe Summit Review:

   • Attendance & Success: The Summit was deemed a significant success, with 33 scribes attending the Friday session—a "first" for the group. Total membership has reached 115.

   • Lecture Capture: Kati Evans confirmed she captured the lectures and is working on compiling them with all attachments for distribution. Trygg Tyran and Myriam-alyah Spires expressed strong interest in receiving these.

   • Genisian Port: The city that coordinated the last two En'Karas is closing because its organizer is ill. The SCoG needs to know who will take up coordination for the next event.

   • En'Kara Plan: The group will plan as if there will be a Scribe tent at En'Kara and will link with merchants. They will know the official date/venue in February.

   • Future Meetings: The group agreed to meet again next week and confirmed they should have the last Wednesday of October off (to avoid too many meetings).
